Internet Navigator...  A Simplified Guide to Netscape GOLD

Frames

Netscape invented "the feature" called Frames.
Frames divide the Browser Window into functional Panes (Like the Mail Window).

The Frame (Panes) are (currently) difficult for the casual user to create..., but very "easy and convenient" for you to use. There are a few differences that you must know about in order to get around in a Web Site using Frames .

A Frames equipped Web Page can have any number of Panes.
The following example demonstrates how a Web Site with Two Panes might work!

Netscape Browser Two Frames Example

The Frame on the left acts as an Outline, and the Frame on the Right acts as the Viewer. You simply "click-on" the Outline on the Left..., to produce the Information on the Right!
