Linking a Target


This Example will Link the "Web Page Header" Linking a Target to the "Word Phrase"
This is the Target at the Bottom of the Page (Located at the Bottom of this Page)!

If you have a "very long" Web Pages (like the Lesson Outline)...., Netscape allows you to create a Target and then Link the Target. Linking a Target is basically like creating a Link to an "external" URL..., except Netscape will "List" the Targets (for you) in the Properties, Link To, Field.


Remember..., you must Create a Target (Ref: Previous Web Page) ...before you can Create a Link "to" the Target.

Create the Target

Highlight the Text you want to "Make" the Target.Netscape Editor  Target at Bottom of the Page  Example
From the Netscape Editor Toolbar...,

"Click_on" the Target Icon Netscape Editor  Target Icon

Netscape Editor  Target Properties  Dialog Box

Actually.., you can Name the Target anything you want!


To Create the Link to the Target

Highlight the Text You want to "Link"Netscape Editor  Highlight Text Example

"Click-on" the Link Icon Netscape Editor  Link Icon


The Link Properties Dialog Box will "pop-up"

You must "click_on" the Target in the Select a named target in current document, Field

#Target will appear in the Link to a page location or local file, Field


Remember...,
The Target Symbol is not visible in the Netscape Browser!
