OU Boeing Engineering Days

Join us for a summer day camp series where high school juniors and seniors explore and discover OU Engineering through one-day, in-depth applications in exciting engineering disciplines.

Boeing Engineering Days

OU Boeing Engineering Days are a summer day camp for rising high school juniors and seniors on select days in the month of June. Each day offers hands-on activities that highlight a different school in engineering.

We are excited to announce that the 2021 Engineering Days Summer Camp will be located on-campus and in-person. In order to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and attendees, face masks will be required and physical distancing will be enforced. In addition, students will work in small pre-assigned groups, and our event will take place in the newest Engineering building with upgraded ventilation and centralized UV sanitization.

Each Engineering Day will run from 8:30AM - 4:30PM approximately. 

Check in will begin at 8:15AM and lunch will be provided for students.

Cost of attendance is $25 per day or for $100 attend four or more. 

*Space is limited to 30 students per Engineering Day. Once an event has reached capacity, it will no longer be listed in the application below.

Overview of Programs and Past Experiences:

Students will design, build, and test a miniature off-road vehicle to carry an egg passenger over different obstacles.  Then, after a crash course on airplane physics, students will design, build, and fly their airplanes cooperatively in a super-sized game of battleship.

Using principles of vector mechanics and hands-on activities, participants will build and test the limits of a rigid structure. In addition, participants will be introduced to the basic principles of fluid mechanics while exploring aspects of renewable wind energy in a design, build and test activity on windmill blade design.

Students in the Electrical and Computer Engineering session will learn about many of the latest developments in the field. We will explore the different areas that ECE majors can pursue. You will get experience constructing circuits and working in a team to compete against your peers with the IR blaster that you create.
