OU INDIGENOUS ENGINEERING & BUSINESS DAY
aims to inspire more students to pursue higher education and the opportunities business and engineering can provide their communities. Through engaging activities on campus, students will learn more about engineering and business degrees and majors.

PRICE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS

Attendees experience a hands-on business activity that encourages the exploration of product ideas through market research and cost analysis. Students will:

  • Gain an understanding of how business majors apply in the business world.
  • Learn the importance of utilizing interpersonal skills for team formation.
  • Critical thinking is required as students work through real-world threats that result in the development of creative strategies to promote their products.

GALLOGLY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

Attendees work with a team and participate in hands-on activities facilitated by engineering faculty. The experiential learning activities encourage students to:

  • Use the engineering design process to successfully complete the challenge, including budget limitations, limited resources, and time constraints.
  • Learn from current engineering students and the OU American Indian Science & Engineering Society (AISES) chapter through shared experiences.
  • Receive advice that prepares high school students for OU and their respective majors.
