Bridge to Doctorate

Bridge to Doctorate (BD) is a nationwide program sponsored by the National Science Foundation and awarded annually to participating LSAMP institutions. This program is the natural progression of the LSAMP Scholars and is designed to enhance the number of under-represented students earning a doctorate in STEM fields. The program provides financial, academic, and professional support, while ensuring scholars build the connections and skills needed to excel in a chosen STEM career. Each person is expected to complete the Ph.D. and is given support for up to five years provided they make satisfactory progress towards the degree.

If you have questions regarding positions available, do not hesitate to contact any BD program across the nation. The University of Oklahoma was awarded the BD grant as part of Cohort VI.
