Moussa P. Blimpo is an Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma’s College of international Studies and affiliated with the economics department. Moussa teaches courses in the area of Development Economics including classes on the political economy of development and Africa in the world economy. His broader research interest focuses on policy relevant questions in development economics, the economics of education, and public economics in developing countries, particularly in African countries. Before joining the University of Oklahoma, Moussa worked two years at Stanford University’s Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) as a postdoctoral scholar where he taught courses on Development Economics while pursuing his research. Moussa holds a Bachelor degree in applied mathematics and statistics from the University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour in France, a M.A. in Political Science and a Ph.D. in Economics both from New York University.
