Special Interest Communities

You have the opportunity to rank your preference from several different Special Interest Communities when you complete a contract to live in the OU Residence Halls. Below is a list of available options. For additional details, please call the Housing and Food Services Office, 405-325-2511, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

David L. Boren Hall
- A part of Cate Center, this building also is home to the OU Honor's College.

Global Community - Located in Couch Center, this floor offers a community kitchen and is made up of 50 percent international students and 50 percent American students.

National Merit - This floor is for National Merit Finalists and their roommates.

Scholastic - A community where students self-identify that they are interested in an academic focused life. Academics are important and each community will develop community guidelines that reflect that goal.

Quiet Lifestyle - A community where students self-identify that they are interested in a quieter environment.

Co-ed Upperclass - A floor exclusively for upperclass students where students can reside in separate male and female suites on the same floor.

Co-ed Freshmen - A floor where students can reside in separate male and female suites on the same floor.
