Students Honored at OU Tulsa Research Forum

 

Three Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education students were honored for their work at the OU-Tulsa Research Forum, held virtually on April 8. The event is presented by the Office of the OU-Tulsa Assistant Vice President for Research, the Office for Research Development and Scholarly Activity, the OU-Tulsa Schusterman Library and the Tulsa County Medical Society.

 

Raeanne Ross, Ph.D. student in early childhood education, took first place in the Travel Award/Publication Fee category for OU-Tulsa Norman program students with her presentation “Preservice Teachers’ Use of a Translation App with Dual Language Learners.” The same presentation also took second place in the Education category.

 

Samantha Evans, Ph.D. student in early childhood education, was the first-place winner in the Education category with “Early Childhood Teachers’ Perspectives and Needs for Professional Development.” Her presentation was also among the People’s Choice award winners.

 

 Sun Geun Kim, Ph.D. student in early childhood education, finished third in Education with “Toddlers’ Play Behaviors and Interactions with Teachers and Peers During Free-Play.”
