My research program concentrates on developing and applying theoretical frameworks and methodologies from medical and health geography in One Health research, which emphasizes the interconnectedness of human health, animal health, and environmental health. In the current world of warming climate, changing environments, and increasing human encroachment to wildlife conservation, investigating the drivers and dynamics of disease emergence and human health have reached an alarming level. Broadly trained as a medical and health geographer, I employ geospatial literacy, disease modeling, and dynamic simulation modeling to tackle these issues. My research program also links human health with environmental health to investigate disproportionate environmental impacts on public health.
Fun facts: My name “Anni” is the translate of “Annie” in Chinese.
Encouraging note: Early childhood is the future of our society. They deserve the blue sky, clean water, green trees, and everyone’s love!
