Training

The University’s Office of Export Controls offers online training through CITI Program for our faculty, researchers, staff and students.  The CITI Export Compliance Course consists of modules covering export controls and how these regulations interact with the many different aspects of the University. Each module includes a brief quiz. The program allows users to log in multiple times in order to complete all the modules.  Please register or, if you’re an existing user, login here.  You can find account registration and login instructions here.

The Office of Export Controls is available for individualized training on export controls and sanctions.  If you would like to schedule a session for your college, department, program, or project, please contact the Office of Export Controls at export@ou.edu.  Additionally, a number of resources are available online.

However, if you would like to receive training directly from the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), they offer seminars covering many different aspects of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and dual-use exports of items and technology, including deemed exports.  Please find their seminar schedule here.  BIS also offers their own online training videos available through their website; you can access the videos here
