After reading the essay carefully, write a letter to your classmate commenting on each of the following points:

1.  What has the author done well?

2.  What confuses you?  What do you want more information about?

3.  Underline the thesis statement and comment on it.  If you can’t find one, write one that fits the essay.

4.  Suggest how the author could address prospective students in the essay.

5.  Comment on the introduction and conclusion.

6.  Put [  ]  in places where more description would be helpful and comment about why you chose these places.
