Spring 2021

The Resonance Series is a new guest lecture series brought to you by the OU School of Music and Jazz in June that connects OU students and Norman musicians with music professionals from around the world. Speakers will share their experiences, provide the future generation with insight into the industry and career paths, and answer questions students may have.

This inaugural year features 20 artists that combine for 45 GRAMMY wins and over a hundred GRAMMY nominations. Guests have played in the bands of Michael Jackson, Prince, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Elton John, Ray Charles, Billy Joel, Shakira, Stanley Clarke, Stevie Wonder, B. B. King, Chick Corea, Barbara Streisand, Tower of Power, Marcus Miller, Leonard Cohen, Enrique Iglesias, Herbie Hancock, Miley Cyrus, George Michael, Destiny's Child, Snarky Puppy, The Buena Vista Social Club, John Legend, Kirk Franklin, and many more. Multiple artists have been featured on NBC's The Voice, appeared in Time Magazine and People Magazine, and one was featured in an Academy award-winning and Grammy-winning documentary.
