Media Photography and Filming Policy

Members of the media and students wishing to film or photograph on premises must make arrangements for all photo and video shoots with at least 1 week advance notice, because there may be additional request forms to submit to the university before a request for a shoot can be granted.

If a member of the media or a student shows up on a weekend requesting to film or take photography with the intention of it being used for publication purposes and has NOT requested permission, they must refrain from filming or photographing until they have contacted the communication department. They are not, however, required to leave the premises.

Members of the media must be escorted by a communications department staff member at all times or have permission from the department to shoot independently. All organized photo shoots inside the Museum—for news coverage, school projects, etc.—require a staff member escort. Photo shoot requests that cannot be staffed will be declined.

FJJMA reserves the right to withhold or withdraw permission to photograph on the premises. FJJMA staff have the authority to approach and verify the intent of photography and to enforce the Photography Policy.
