Six Contemporary Afro-American Artists

Paintings by internationally distinguished Black Americans were acquired on loan from galleries in New York to form an introductory exhibition of contemporary Black art. Representative works by two Oklahomans, Wallace Owens, and Alfred Cohran, are included with works by Romare Bearden, Jacob Lawrence, Raymond Saunders and Hughie Lee-Smith.
