Ted Egri—Recent Sculpture

One of the Southwest’s best known artists, Egri has won numerous awards and commissions in regional and national exhibitions in painting and sculpture. Since 1950, Egri has lived in Taos, New Mexico, where he works as a professional sculptor chiefly in welded metal, plastics, wood and stone. Among his architectural sculpture commissions are the Baylor University Theatre, Waco, Texas, and Jewish Community Center, Scranton, Pennsylvania. Egri has taught at the Kansas City Art Institute, Philbrook art Center, and the Universities of Wyoming an Illinois. This exhibition will be the artist’s nineteenth one-man show.
