New Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) Orientation

The Graduate College provides the New Graduate Teaching Assistant Orientation* prior to each Fall and Spring semester for newly appointed GTAs.

The New GTA Orientation is required for all newly appointed Norman campus GTAs, including those in supporting roles where their duties are primarily  grading and/or holding office hours.

Failure to complete this orientation will result in an enrollment hold being placed on the person's account for the following semester

The Spring 2022 New GTA Orientation will be primarily hosted via Canvas.

To fulfill the in-person component of the orientation, all participants will choose one of multiple workshop topics related to the GTA experience, offered at varying dates/times during the Spring, 2022 semester.

Registration for the Spring 2022 New GTA Orientation is accessible via the button below. All new GTAs for Spring 2022 should fill out the registration form either confirming their participation or explaining why participation is impossible between the specified dates.
