Move-In 2021

August 10 - 12

We are excited to welcome students to their University home! We've partnered with University and Student Services to provide a full-service Move-In experience for all students living with us in the Residence Halls, Residential Colleges and Cross Village.

Move-In Welcome Home

Students will be assigned a date and time to arrive at Lloyd Noble Center to check-in based on their room assignment.

University and Student Services will unload your vehicle and move your items into your room.

All residents are limited to two cars and one trip through the full-service Move-In process.

The health and safety of our students is our top priority. OU is taking proactive measures to create an on-campus living experience that is supportive and welcoming.

Check your OU email account for Housing information and your assigned Move-In date and time.
You can also log into the housing portal to view this information.

You can then add the Sooner Card to your iPhone or Android devices after your ID photo has been approved. Your digital ID can also be used in place of the plastic Sooner Card. You will be able to pick up your Sooner Card during move-in when you arrive to campus in the fall. Students should monitor their OU email for specific details.
  • If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by phone at (405) 325-2511 or email us at housinginfo@ou.edu from your OU email account.

Parking is available at Lloyd Noble Center if needed. Shuttles will run from Lloyd Noble Center to the Residence Halls each day of Move-In.

Masks are federally required to ride the shuttle. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided.

If you have questions about what to pack (or not pack) to live comfortably in the Residence Halls, download our packing list. We've also compiled room and furniture measurements for the Residence Halls and the Residential Colleges to help you know what will (or won't) fit in your room.

Students moving into Couch or Walker Centers can choose to have their beds lofted, bunked or remain two separate twin beds.

The deadline to request your bed be lofted or bunked prior to Move-In has passed. Bed setup requests and adjustments now need to be submitted through the maintenance request form and will not begin until AFTER the second week of classes.

Please discuss these bed options with your roommate before completing this form. If roommates submit conflicting requests, the requests will not be honored.

The Early Arrival Request form is currently available on the housing portal under housing forms and is visible to students who meet specific criteria. The deadline to request permission to arrive early is July 19.

Students will be able to select a date to request early arrival based on the following parameters:

  • Cross Village residents will be able to select a date between August 1 - 9.
  • Residence Halls and Residential Colleges' residents will be able to select a date between August 1 - 10.
  • Traditions Square residents will be able to select a date between August 1 - 17.

Submitting an Early Arrival Request does not guarantee approval of an early arrival date.

From the laundry system to free tutoring, we're proud to offer various amenities to our residents.
