Residence Hall Move-In Began Today

Residence Hall Move-In Continues

The University community welcomes back residential college residents and upperclass students to campus. Today, freshman students began arriving at 6 a.m. for Move-In.

OU Student Services has advised members of the public to be prepared for congested traffic as adjusted traffic patterns and road closures will be in effect from Lloyd Noble Center up Asp Avenue and around the residence halls.  People not involved in Move-In activities are advised to find alternate travel routes both days.

Today, Asp Avenue will be northbound only from Timberdell Road to Lindsey Street. Timberdell Road will be closed from Jenkins Avenue on the east to Chautauqua Avenue on the west.

The check-in process begins at Lloyd Noble Center with the help of staff members.  After receiving a parking pass, students will drive to their residence halls, where University and Student Services will unload vehicles and move items to their rooms. Once vehicles are unloaded, residents will park and take the shuttle back to their residence hall, where they will receive their keys and begin setting up their rooms.
