OU – TX Promises Fun Weekend

OU – TX Promises Fun Weekend

The Sooners and the Longhorns have a long and storied history of football rivalry, and that rivalry takes place on and off the field.

Guests attending the game on Saturday at the Cotton Bowl will see several changes in security, mirroring changes by the NFL and at the Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Other changes include updated video screens, ribbon boards, high-speed credit card acceptance and expanded beer sales.

As in previous years, all carried items and entrants are subject to search. Attendees who come without bags can use the express lanes, located at each gate. Prohibited items must be returned to the owner’s car or discarded.

Additional activities include the annual running of the ball. Today, OU Naval ROTC members started their journey to Texas. The University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas face off for the second year of the Red River Rivalry Debate. The topic for this year’s debate is race-based affirmative action admissions policies.
