Meetings for Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion Candidates Started Today

Meet the Candidates Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion

The University of Oklahoma held its first meet-and-greet today for candidates vying for the position of Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion. More meetings are set for the next two weeks to provide opportunities for students, staff and faculty to meet and learn more about each candidate. 

Each candidate will participate in meetings at the OU Norman campus, the OU Health Sciences Center and the OU-Tulsa campus. Today the Norman campus met with Robinette Kelley. Kelley will meet with HSC and OU-Tulsa campus tomorrow.  Other candidates include Belinda Hyppolite on Sept. 23 and 24 and Jane Irungu on Sept. 27 and Oct. 2.

The first day of meetings are for Norman campus community. The second day includes a breakfast meeting on the HSC campus for staff, faculty and students and a 3 p.m. open reception scheduled at the OU-Tulsa campus.

OU Interim President Joseph Harroz Jr. has emphasized the importance of the selection of the Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion as a critical step for the Diversity and Inclusion plan. The selection of this position has been led by a University-wide search committee.
