Both museums on the University of Oklahoma Norman campus have reopened to visitors with safety measures in place. In keeping with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other federal and state guidelines, both museums will follow prescribed COVID-19 protocols to help protect staff and visitors.

The museums have instituted precautions, including requiring masks for visitors (3 years and up) and social distancing, except among parties arriving together. Both museums have moved their public programs, lectures and educational activities to an online platform for an undetermined time.

Precautions at the Sam Noble Museum include those listed above, as well as reduced hours and timed ticketing, and advance reservations.

Timed ticketing hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Visitors may sign up for the following time slots: 9-10:30 a.m. (reserved for higher-risk guests on Thursday and Saturday), 10:30 a.m.-noon, 2-3:30 p.m. and 3:30-5 p.m. The museum will be closed daily from noon-2 p.m. for cleaning and disinfecting.
