President Harroz Reflects on Recent Events
On Sunday, President Harroz shared his personal thoughts on recent incidents of racial violence. In a post shared from his Twitter account, @OU_President, Harroz also referenced a joint statement released late last week by the leadership of all universities in the Big 12 Conference.
In his personal statement, Harroz noted, “To become the country we know we can be, we must honestly address the issues that underlie these societal divisions and make real, systemic change. I urge our entire OU family to lend support, advocacy, and love to the marginalized black members of our own community. Together, we are stronger.”
