As part of the University of Oklahoma’s commitment to promote an environment that celebrates diversity, equity and inclusion, while also supporting emotional growth for all, OU is launching a campus climate surveys initiative.

This month, email invitations are being sent to Norman-campus based faculty, staff and students to complete the anonymous campus climate surveys.

Dr. Belinda Higgs Hyppolite, OU vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion and chief diversity officer, said the survey results will serve as a window into the OU campus culture.

“The goal of the survey is to help the university gain a sense of where we are as an OU community, so that we can work together strategically and intentionally to enhance that sense of belonging and emotional support for all students, faculty and staff,” Higgs Hyppolite said.

Developed by the Higher Education Research Institute (HERI), an educational research organization, different surveys have been developed for students, faculty and staff, with question topics that target the distinct experience of each group.

All survey responses are confidential, and data will be reported in the aggregate.
