OU-Tulsa Adds New Ph.D. in Organizational and Community Leadership

Schusterman center building under a blue sky

OU-Tulsa is offering a new Ph.D. program in organizational and community leadership, designed to produce organizational and community leaders who can assume positions in academia, industry and government. As students progress through the program, they will gain an understanding of complex community problems, both at the individual and organization level, while also having the opportunity to develop research-based solutions to these problems.

Courses will be taught by nationally recognized faculty from a variety of disciplines and program participants will draw upon the vast academic resources of OU. Students can choose to focus their emphasis on public policy, advocacy and nonprofits; organizational and administrative leadership; or interpersonal dynamics. Graduates will be uniquely positioned to make an impact in the areas they serve.

In a rigorous but cooperative and congenial atmosphere, students will contribute high-quality research to the body of knowledge in public and nonprofit administration, community or organizational psychology, and they will be trained to disseminate and apply evidence-informed knowledge.
