Faculty, staff and students from all three OU campuses are invited to celebrate Black History Month by participating in a virtual book club discussion of Tulsa 1921: Reporting a Race Massacre by Randy Krehbiel.

Krehbiel, a longtime reporter for the Tulsa World, will join the Zoom discussion, set for noon on Feb. 23.

The book shines new light into the shadows that have long been cast over the Tulsa Race Massacre. With the clarity and descriptive power of a veteran journalist, Krehbiel digs deep into the events and their aftermath and investigates decades-old questions about the local culture at the root of what one writer has called a white-led pogrom.

This event is hosted by the OU-Tulsa Office of Student Affairs and the Schusterman Library.
