OU Joins White House-Led COVID-19 College Vaccine Challenge

Building on efforts already in place to strongly encourage all students, faculty and staff to get vaccinated, the University of Oklahoma has joined hundreds of colleges and universities across the nation to support the COVID-19 College Vaccine Challenge – an initiative launched by the White House in partnership with the U.S. Department of Education.

The challenge is part of a nationwide effort to help as many people as possible receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

Participating institutions must focus on three key action steps:

  1. Make sure all students, faculty and staff know they’re eligible for a vaccine and have the resources to find one
  2. Create a plan to vaccinate as many members of the campus community as possible
  3. Deliver vaccine access for all

Where to Find a Vaccine at OU

OU strongly encourages the entire OU community to get vaccinated, particularly those residing in congregate housing.

COVID-19 vaccines are available to all students, faculty and staff on all three OU campuses at no cost to the individual.

Vaccine Clinics Planned for the Norman Campus

On the Norman campus, a series of COVID-19 vaccine clinics will be widely available during Move-In, Camp Crimson and the first week of classes. Details will be announced soon.
