From Syria to Norman: May Graduate Pursues Degree, Dreams at OU
With hopes of making a difference in his community and on the economy of his home country of Syria, Ali Al Khayer made it all the way to Norman from Damascus. Now a senior at OU, he is pursuing a degree in finance and management information systems.
Despite the hardships he has faced over the last four years, Al Khayer has persevered. After serving as a leader in various student organizations, contributing to the classroom learning environment and making friends from all backgrounds, next week, Al Khayer will graduate from OU as the top senior in finance.
