OU again achieved the 2018 Carnegie Institution’s Very High Research Activity classification for the Norman campus. With this designation, OU is among the nation’s top 130 doctoral-degree granting institutions in the 2018 top research category.

The OU-Tulsa Early Childhood Education Institute was awarded $899,865 from Georgetown University via a Spencer Foundation award to observe the development of 900 three-year-olds until third grade setting a national standard in early childhood education research.
A new $869,995 three year award from the U.S. Department of Defense will be used to participate in an early stage clinical trial for patients with high grade, serious ovarian cancer. The study combines current treatments with a novel compound.
