The pursuit of opportunity beyond resources controlled*

We live in a dynamic and everchanging world. We must deal with uncertainty and risk. And yet, change presents opportunity.

Our goals are not limited. We strive to provide an Opportunity for All.

It is the vision of the Ronnie K. Irani Center for Energy Solutions to advance students’ careers by merging entrepreneurial problem-solving skills with technical expertise in energy-related fields. Within the Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy, we partner with companies and engage students in the School of Geosciences and the Mewbourne School of Petroleum and Geological Engineering – helping students gain relevant Practical Experience on real-world projects and providing companies with innovative solutions.

The Irani Center for Energy Solutions also connects industry professionals with our world-renowned OU faculty through Professional Development courses. We continue to offer courses in traditional areas of oil and gas development and exploration, and we are excited to develop new courses and certificate programs in ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage), Data Science and Analytics, and other pertinent areas of the energy transition.

Finally, we look forward to being a leader and a significant participant in the discussion of energy, and the solutions necessary to meet an ever-growing demand for resources. Through Stakeholder Engagement, we partake in candid conversations about the importance of energy and stewardship on our campus, in our communities, and throughout the world.

Thank you for your interest in the Irani Center for Energy Solutions. I look forward to visiting with you about a partnership to enhance your knowledge, advance your career, and provide greater opportunities for all.
