Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation: Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation. Contains links to other departments and economic information, specifically economic policy.
Human Rights in China: Human Rights in China. An international non-governmental organization founded by Chinese scientists and scholars that monitors the implementation of international human rights standards.
Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Houston, TX.: Contains information on visas and passports, tourism, science and technology, economy and trade, overseas Chinese affairs, and education.

Newspapers

China Daily: China Daily newspaper covers Chinese and World news including sports and business. A great site for all kinds of information about China.
China Radio International: China Radio International. Includes links to Life, Sports, Travel and Music to name a few. Also available in many other languages
China Informed: "a news service focused exclusively on China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong." Includes an archive of all current and past issues. Perhaps one of the more liberal news sources
People's Daily: Comprehensive news source available in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, French, Spanish, Russian and Arabic.
South China Morning Post: South China Morning Post. Also a very nice, comprehensive news source. Includes general information about China. Requires a free registration for some links.

Religion

Islamic Union of Hong Kong: Islamic Union of Hong Kong. In Chinese and English. Gives brief description of the organization, including history, locations of mosques and links to other Islamic web pages
United Muslim Association of Hong Kong: United Muslim Association of Hong Kong. Contains links, activities and projects, history, and incorporation of the association
The Sino-Judaic Institute: "The Sino-Judaic institute is a non-denominational, non-political and non-profit organization… for the purpose of promoting friendship and understanding between Chinese and Jewish peoples…" A very informative source for Judaism in China.
