New Student Programs

In order to support both incoming students and high school students, New Student Programs hosts several programs geared specifically to each group. For incoming undergraduates, the orientation process consists of two essential programs and two optional programs. High school students have two different opportunities to engage with the university.

New Sooner Orientation is the first step in the orientation process for every new student's successful transition to OU. Students will learn more about resources at OU and have the opportunity to meet with an academic advisor and enroll in courses. Parents and families are encouraged to attend to learn more about resources at OU.

Through Concurrent Enrollment (CE), high school juniors and seniors can enroll in college classes and earn college credit while still in high school. Choosing CE allows you to explore areas of academic interest, challenge yourself and gain valuable experiences and college credit before you graduate from high school.
