Registration for Parent & Family Orientation 2023 - Open March 1, 2023!
Parents and families are invited to attend Parent & Family Orientation on their student's in-person New Sooner Orientation Day. Attending Parent & Family Orientation will help you learn how to support your student's successful transition to college, gain insight about campus services, discover how to become involved in the University of Oklahoma family, and more. Registration is $15 per person who attends the Parent & Family Orientation.
Registration
Registration for Parent & Family Orientation is $15 per family member. Sales are final, with no refunds. However, we can transfer your registration to another Orientation Day if your student changes their NSO Date. Parent and Family Orientation is intended for parents, guardians, or supporters of incoming students.
What does registration cover?
Registration for Parent & Family Orientation covers program materials, snacks, staffing and technology costs.

New Sooner Orientation registration opens for Fall 2023 admits on February 1!
Let's make your student's first semester at OU official! If you are a student who is taking classes at OU for the first time in Fall 2022, you will need to sign up for a New Sooner Orientation Day! New Sooner Orientation is for incoming students to be advised, enroll in their first semester courses, and learn about OU resources that will help them through their time at OU.
Be sure your student completes each of the items below before scheduling their Orientation Day:
- Set up an OU account and email at account.ou.edu
- Submit an enrollment deposit
- Take the New Sooner Survey
- Complete the mandatory online training
