Yael Lavender-Smith received her bachelor’s degree in literature and political science and her first master’s degree in Hebrew and comparative literature from the University of Haifa, Israel. She earned her second master’s degree and her Ph.D. in comparative literature and early modern studies from the Graduate Center at the City University of New York. She teaches undergraduate business communication classes at the Price College of Business. Prior to joining Price College, she was the coordinator of the first- and second-year Hebrew Language Program at OU. She has taught English composition at City College, Stern College, and New Mexico State University. Her research focuses on the rhetoric of conversion narratives in Classical and early modern writings. Yael is an OU LGBTQ + Aspiring Ally.
