Chief Financial Officer
Deborah Kitchens, an Oklahoma City native, attended the University of Oklahoma and in 1978 obtained a BBA in accounting, graduating with Highest Honors.
Her career began with Arthur Andersen in Oklahoma City where she worked for nine years before leaving the firm in 1987 to join the Kerr-McGee Corporation. In 1996 Kitchens was named Vice President and Controller where she oversaw all accounting, budgeting and reporting functions for the company. After fifteen years, she accepted a position with Hunt Petroleum as Vice President of Accounting and Financial Reporting. Kitchens’ accomplishments include designing and implementing a monthly forecasting system and operational reporting structure for its 17 operated entities, as well as a complete budget system for oil and gas operations, real estate and Trust operations. Kitchens remained with Kerr-McGee until 2009 when she became the Chief Financial Officer of Peregrine Group in Dallas. Peregrine is a privately-held company that has oil and gas, real estate and investments in limited partnerships.
Kitchens is an active alumnus of Price College and currently serves on the Alumni Advisory board, as well as the Steed School of Accounting Board of Visitors at OU.
