Eduardo Meléndez is a first-year PhD. student in the Tom Love Division of Entrepreneurship and Economic Development at the University of Oklahoma Michael F. Price School of Business. He is studying the intersection of entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, and behavioral economics.

Eduardo is originally from Ecuador.  He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Foreign Affairs from The University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration degree from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. During his 14 years of entrepreneurial and industry experience, he founded a social venture in the sports sector and a financial service firm. He also served as a C-level executive in one of Ecuador’s Top 100 business conglomerates

His current research interests include entrepreneurial behavior, social innovation and family business.
