David Oliver

Head of Structuring, bp

David Oliver is the head of structuring for bp’s gas and power trading business in Houston. His team is responsible for the valuation and economics of complex deals and derivatives. Oliver has been at bp for 19 years, with 17 years in structuring and two years on the market risk team. Oliver started his career at Enron in 1996 with various valuation roles in London and Houston. He holds a BBA in international finance from Texas A&M University and is a CFA Charterholder. In his spare time, Oliver enjoys traveling and hiking with his wife and two sons.
