* This application portal only applies to our Online MBA, NOT our Full-time or Professional MBA programs.

Admissions Deadline

The Online MBA program offers Fall or Spring entry.

We are accepting applications for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 entry.

If you have any questions, please contact MBA Admissions oklahomamba@ou.edu

The Online MBA application is a 2-step process: 1) submit your biographical data and transcript(s) in the OU Online portal, then 2) upload your personal statement and current resume.

We value a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives in our classroom, so we encourage applicants from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds to apply.

Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis. It is to your advantage to apply as early as you are ready. The admissions committee cannot predict the quality of future applications and is inclined to admit well-qualified applicants early in the process. In addition, early application ensures that you will receive a decision earlier. However, it is important not to rush your application. We encourage you to take the time necessary to submit a thoughtful, well-prepared application.

Requirements

An application fee is not required for applicants to the Online MBA program.

Upload an unofficial copy of your transcript from your last degree-granting institution to the online application and request for an official transcript to be sent to OU.

Official Paper Transcripts can be sent to:
University of Oklahoma
Office of Graduate Admissions
731 Elm Avenue, Room 318
Norman, OK 73019

Official Electronic Transcripts can be sent to:
gradadm@ou.edu

The GMAT or GRE is not required for admission to the Online MBA Program.

Provide a copy of an up-to-date professional résumé. Include information about full-time positions, military assignments, and significant part-time or summer work experiences. Résumés should also list education history with dates of attendance and graduation.

As part of step-two of your online application for admission, you will be asked to submit your personal statement, which is a brief response detailing why you want to pursue an MBA at OU and your future career goals (500 words maximum).
We prefer at least two years of work experience for the Online MBA. However, we understand that some applicants may have a background outside of this standard. Since Online MBA courses are primarily delivered synchronously, in the evenings, we anticipate that most students will be working full-time during the day, while in the program.  If you have questions about your work experience and how it might fit within the structure of the Online MBA Program, please contact oklahomamba@ou.edu.

Requests for transfer credit are reviewed upon acceptance to the Online MBA program. Courses must be from an AACSB-accredited institution with an earned grade of B or higher, taken within the last five years, and approved by the MBA department.

Online MBA applicants with a cumulative GPA below 3.0 may be asked to complete MBA Math, a self-paced, quantitative online preparation resource. More details about MBA Math and the required modules will be provided to applicants who have a GPA below 3.0.

Letters of recommendation are completely optional. If you choose to submit a letter(s) of recommendation, you may email them to oklahomamba@ou.edu

Reapplying the following year, after being denied, does not hamper your chances of being admitted into the program. We will evaluate your application as brand new and will not consider the previous denial. If you want to improve your application and are unsure of how to better your chances, feel free to reach out to us. We would be happy to discuss how you can improve your application.

International Students

As this program is entirely online, no visa is required for international applicants. We also cannot grant F-1 visas for participants in the Online MBA since students are not required to travel to the USA at all.

All international applicants must provide evidence of financial support for their first year of study. Applicants can wait until they have been accepted to proceed with providing this documentation.

International Graduate Admissions

Applicants must submit a transcript from the college or university where they earned their most recent degree in order to be considered for admission.
