Big XII+ MIS Research Symposium

Held on April 4, 5 & 6, 2014

The twelfth Annual Big XII+ MIS Research Symposium was held from April 4 through April 6, 2014 at The University of Oklahoma. The Management Information Systems Faculty at the Price College of Business hosted the symposium. As is Big XII+ tradition, activities commenced with a reception for all attendees on the evening of April 4, followed by the symposium on April 5 and April 6 (half day).

Symposium Objectives

The symposium provides an informal setting for networking and focusses on research presentations by junior faculty members and Ph.D. students. It also provides a forum to learn about ongoing research at other Big XII+ schools, identify areas for research collaboration, and provide a collegial environment to advance MIS teaching. Prominent researchers from Big XII+ MIS programs attend the meetings and participate in both panels and general discussions. The conference does not require a registration fee, and meals are provided by the Division of MIS and Price College of Business during the duration of the symposium.

Doctoral students are encouraged to present their research papers to obtain feedback from senior faculty at fellow Big XII+ institutions. For programs which do not have a doctoral program, junior faculty can present their research papers as well.
