COLIN REED, CHAIRMAN AND CEO OF GAYLORD ENTERTAINMENT, TO SPEAK AT OU'S PRICE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS

Colin Reed became president and chief executive officer of Gaylord Entertainment Co. in 2001 after more than 30 years in the hotel and entertainment industry. Reed was named in 2004 by the company's board of directors as chairman. Since joining Gaylord Entertainment, Reed has successfully led the company's strategic reorganization through its Gaylord Hotels and Grand Ole Opry brands. In that time, he has led the company's efforts to divest more than $300 million in non-core assets, strengthened its balance sheet and repositioned the company for future growth.

The Price College of Business Distinguished Speaker Series presents top-level business executives from a broad range of backgrounds, industries and geographies. Designed to promote face-to-face interaction between global leaders, the Oklahoma business community and Price College students, the Distinguished Speaker Series focuses on guests from the chairman and CEO levels of leadership.

This year, U.S. News & World Report ranks the college's International Business Program 12th in the nation and the Management Information Systems Program 17th in the nation. The Entrepreneurship Program was ranked 11th in the nation by Entrepreneur magazine and The Princeton Review and 18th by U.S. News & World Report.
