Steed School of Accounting Awards Banquet Recognizes Outstanding Students and Faculty

Outstanding Students and Faculty Recognized at SOA Awards Banquet

Faculty gather at annual awards banquet

At the Accounting Awards Banquet this fall, $215,000 in scholarships was awarded to 97 undergraduate students and $173,000 was awarded to 52 graduate students. These scholarships are made possible through the generous support of many individuals, families and firms. Long-time faculty member Fran Ayres also was recognized at the event with a Lifetime Service Award. In the keynote address, Tom Luccock, recipient of this year’s Alumni Recognition Award, shared lessons learned from his accounting career with students. 

 

In addition, Kaylyn Edwards was named Outstanding Senior and Alexandra Odum was named Outstanding Junior. Faculty members recognized: Faculty Lifetime Service Award to Fran Ayres; Faculty Research Award to Brant Christensen, Richard Price and Wayne Thomas; Faculty Service Award to Joe Dulin and Beth Stetson; Faculty Teaching Award to Cindy Cuccia and Kevan Jensen. Ph.D. candidates recognized: Ph.D. Student Research Award to Kelly (Seoyoon) Ha; Ph.D. Student Teaching Award to Lixuan Zhu.
