Happy first day of the fall 2019 semester! The students have returned, and you can sense the excitement and energy as we begin our 26th year of the JCPenney Leadership Program. I’ve now been at the helm for a little over a year and a half, and I can feel the momentum we have going into this year. In a short time, I have seen our program continue to grow to be a source of exceptional opportunities and professional development for our associates. These are some of the best students in Price College, and I am committed to continuing our tradition of excellence, but we need your support!

To help us to strengthen our budget, the OU Foundation has provided this link to offer ease and convenience in giving back to the program that invested in you. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to consider how the JCPenney Leadership Program may have helped you get to where you are today. In addition, to share your experience and expertise with our associates, consider volunteering with programs like virtual interviews, informal networking and our Alumni Career Conference. Contact me for more information, and join our Alumni group on LinkedIn to get the latest updates and opportunities to get engaged. As we continue our climb to excellence, we appreciate the support of our alumni to help keep us strong and moving forward..

Fall Recruitment

Fall recruitment is here, and we are looking forward to adding 60 new outstanding undergraduates to our membership! Do you know a Price undergraduate who should apply? Send them to our website. You can also send them directly them to me if they have any questions, breea@ou.edu.

Women In Business Leadership Conference: October 18

Our annual Women in Business Leadership Conference will take place on Friday, October 18. This year’s theme is “True Grit: Persevering in the Business World and in Life.” We have 12 amazing panelists who represent organizations like Phillips66, Valesco Industries, the Oklahoma House of Representatives, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, StitchCrew, PWC and more. Our keynotes are Mary Mélon, president and CEO of the Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation and former publisher of the Journal Record, and Dr. Meg Myers Morgan, expert in personal and professional negotiations and author of Everything is Negotiable. The generous sponsorship from our partners at Phillips66 allow us to make this conference free for the entire community, so please share this event with anyone you think would benefit from attending. We hope you will consider attending as well!

Stay Connected!

It’s going to be another tremendous year for our program, and I look forward to sharing the success of our recruitment efforts in our spring e-Newsletter. I encourage you to follow our social media pages as well as our new LinkedIn page to stay updated in real time and, as always, do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or ideas for our program!
