1980s

Curt Harrington (MBA, 1985) delivered a free, public presentation, Tackling Your Tax Debt, last month in Long Beach.

 

The U.S. Senate voted to confirm Kea Whetzal Riggs (BBA, Accounting, 1987; JD, 1990), a state district court judge and Roswell resident, for a U.S. District Court seat.

2000s

Claudia San Pedro (MBA, 2001) was featured in a write-up about her journey to become president of Sonic.

 

Murali Ravindran (MS, Engineering, 2002; MBA, 2004) was appointed Managing Director of Konrad Technologies Asia.

 

Brittney Wycoff (BBA, Accounting, 2004; Master of Accountancy, 2004) has been named a partner of HoganTaylor, one of the largest business advisory and public accounting firms in Oklahoma and Arkansas.

 

Billy Woodring (BBA, Management, 2005), president of Substancia Asset Management, was interviewed for a feature story by the Oklahoman.

 

Daniel Lawson (BBA, Management Information Systems, 2009) was promoted to senior network administrator of core services at Tulsa-based HoganTaylor.

 

The shareholders of McAfee & Taft, Oklahoma’s largest law firm, have elected attorney Matthew K. Brown (BBA, Economics, 2009; BA, Political Science, 2009; JD, 2012), as a shareholder, effective January 1, 2020.

 

Phillips Murrah has promoted Cody Cooper (BBA, Finance, 2009; JD, 2012) to director and shareholder.

2010s

Meagan Barkley (BBA, Finance, 2012; Master of Accountancy, 2012) of Fayetteville has been promoted to senior manager at HoganTaylor.

 

Henry Le (BBA, Finance, 2013) has joined Peters & Chandler P.C. as a tax senior.

 

Tope Ogunyomi (MBA, 2013), director at Juniper Capital, was featured as a Forty Under 40 honoree by Hart Energy.

 

Cathy Lebsack (MBA, Energy Executive, 2017) was listed by Oil and Gas Investor as a “25 Influential Women In Energy” 2020 honorees.

 

Alec Weibel (BBA, Accounting, 2018; BBA, Finance, 2018) has joined Peters & Chandler P.C.

 

Noah Beale, son of Nathaniel Beale (MBA, Energy Executive, 2019), made the news when he walked for his father during the fall 2019 Price College convocation ceremony.

In Memoriam

Dennis Kaufman (BBA, Marketing, 1964), an Oklahoma pioneer in factoring services, passed away in early January. Kaufman owned TBS Factoring Service (formerly Truckers Bookkeeping Service) since 1991 and worked with his son, Wood Kaufman, to change the company’s primary focus. His prior experience included the credit department of several oil companies, dry cleaning, farming, and oil patch work. He was active in the North American Transportation Services Association.

 

Martha Sue Keegan (BBA, Marketing, 1953), a 45-year resident of Rockwall, Texas, died last month. An active member of her community church and local Republican party, Keegan was devoted to raising her children. Upon her children’s admittance to college, she worked with Barbara Hensley realtors, where she was honored as Realtor of the Year in 1983. She is survived by four children and their spouses, as well as six grandchildren and a future great-grandchild.
