Business and Engineering Faculty tour FAA Facilities

Price faculty Al Schwarzkopf, Rocio Claybon, Jeremy Bellah and Joyce Burch joined Gallogly College of Engineering faculty Zahid Siddique and Rafal Jabrzemski for a tour of the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (FAA) on May 16 to learn more about their operations and discuss potential opportunities for collaborations and projects for students in both colleges.

The FAA has a robust capstone program and has provided projects for OU students in MIS, computer science, aerospace and mechanical engineering, and industrial and systems engineering. The FAA Capstone Program Manager, Eddie Drake, invited business and engineering faculty to tour the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City. While there, the group visited the Transportation Safety Institute (Accident Investigation), Technical Support Facility, FAA Academy, Tower Simulation System, Civil Aerospace Medical Institute and the Radar Support Facility.
