The Purposeful Spaces
Just over 300 undergraduate fellows live in a variety of rooming arrangements, from single- and double-occupancy rooms, to two and three-bedroom suites. Spa-style bath arrangements and some private baths are available throughout the college.
Ceilings are high, hallways are wide and every floor is brightly lit. Every floor features a common room, study lounge and multiple reading nooks, affording social, recreational and study space on every floor. On the main floor, the college features common rooms, a library, a game room, a music practice room, a meditation room, the ‘Creative Commons’, classrooms and conference rooms. Offices for the faculty fellows of the college and the Senior Fellow’s apartment are located on the first floor.
Dunham College’s basement serves as a storm shelter, houses the laundry facilities for college fellows, and can be used as an activity space.
The Grand Hall is a breathtaking space featuring beautifully-crafted woodwork and gothic architecture, including a massive stone fireplace. The Grand Hall seats 170, and serves as a dining hall, study space and social hub. There is also a private dining room just off the Grand Hall which is available to student groups on request to the Senior Fellow.
