We know that you are capable of fundraising whatever number you set your mind to. There are tips to help you reach your goal under "Get Involved" > "OU Students". You'd be surprised how much you can raise by simply posting on social media and asking friends and family.

  • Post a link to your online fundraising page on Facebook, instagram, etc.

    • Social media is the easiest way to reach a large audience quickly!

    • To find your fundraising page, go to events.dancemarathon.com and search your name

    • You can also personalize your fundraising page with reasons why you signed up, profile picture, fundraising page photo, and set your personal fundraising goal!

    • Email everybody you know! High school teachers, high school coaches, high school friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, your coworkers, your parents’ coworkers, professors (you'd be surprised), youth group leaders, people you know from church, friends that participate in Dance Marathons at other universities, anybody with kids, etc.

OU DM is a 12-hour dance marathon that benefits Children’s Hospital Foundation in OKC. I was wondering if you'd like to donate $5 toward my goal! Anything helps and it all goes to the kids! Students at OU DM make a pledge to stand a full 12 hours on their feet in support of the kids who can’t. Many Miracle Children will spend 12 hours a week in dialysis or chemotherapy, as well as a majority of nurses and doctors will stand on their feet for 12 hours during a shift. 12 hours also represents the 12 months out of the year that students fundraise for OU DM.
