Welcome to the 2023-2024 academic year! My name is Rhonda Hill, and I am excited and honored to serve as your Staff Senate Chair. I have worked at OU for 33 years and have worked in numerous departments across campus. I work at the Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (IPPRA) as the Executive Coordinator and Financial Analyst. In my free time, I enjoy crafting, shopping at antique shops and playing with our three rescue dogs and two grand dogs when they visit.
OU Staff are the heart of the University and I’m here to advocate for you. I want staff to feel appreciated, receive more communication from administration on issues important to you like the pay changes coming in April of 2024, regular compensation adjustments, and more. I also want you to know that I will work with administration to listen and hear our concerns.
Please save the date for the State of the University Address to Staff on August 24, 10:30 AM-11:30 AM at the Oklahoma Memorial Union in Meacham Auditorium and via live stream. More information coming soon. Let’s fill the seats in Meacham Auditorium and show President Harroz that staff are engaged and desire to share our successes and concerns.
I hope you can attend our monthly Staff Senate meetings. They will be held in person and via Zoom. The meeting schedule can be found on our website https://www.ou.edu/staff_senate. These meetings are an opportunity for you to receive information from guest speakers and committees, receive updates on benefits, share your concerns and connect with other staff on campus.
