Boren Cup 23 Information

What Is Boren Cup?

Boren Cup is a tournament for high school teams that uses questions from the NAQT Invitational Series. Teams will compete in divisions based on school enrollment. Boren Cup draws primarily from schools in Oklahoma, but schools from Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Texas have also attended.

When this event uses NAQT Invitational Series questions, the top fifteen percent of the field will earn a berth to the NAQT High School National Championship Tournament. More information is available here.

Registering for Boren Cup 23

Contact information for registering will be posted at a later date. When you register, please list the number of teams and buzzer systems that your school will send and the classification in which your school will compete. The limit on the number of teams and registration deadline will be posted at a later date.

Large Schools: all schools in Classes 5A and 4A in OSSAA Academic Bowl, all private schools, all charter schools, all magnet schools
Medium Schools: all schools in Classes 3A and 2A in OSSAA Academic Bowl, all freshmen-only teams from large schools
Small Schools: all schools in Classes A and B in OSSAA Academic Bowl, all freshmen-only teams from medium schools

For a particular classification to be used, at least eight schools must be registered for it.
