What Is Sword Bowl?

Sword Bowl is a packet-submission ACF-style tournament held by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Sword Bowl is intended to be accessible to first-year and second-year quiz bowl players.

Essential Information for Sword Bowl

• Date: Saturday, February 2, 2008
• Time: Registration begins at 8:30 AM; the tournament begins at 9:00 AM.
• Location: to be determined (link to campus map)
• Questions: packet-submission (packet specifications are available here)
• Fees:
  • Base Fee: $60 per team
  • Additional Team Discount: -$10 per team
  • Buzzer System Discount: -$5 per working buzzer system (maximum of 2)
  • Travel Discount: -$5 for 150-299 miles traveled, -$10 for 300 or more miles traveled (all distances are one-way and as determined by Mapquest)
  • Minimum Fee: $40 per school
