Summary
I. We're going to try to have meetings every other Thursday (starting 1/22) at 6:00pm so that way it's easier for everyone to remember and prepare. We'll see how it goes for while and change it if neccessary. Every meeting (hopefully) will have a discussi
on period for ideas and stuff, however, if you want a guranteed spot, you can email Marcos, the secretary and he'll fit you into the agenda (should be submitted at least two days before the meeting). We're also going to p
lay around with Monday nights at 5:00pm being set for officer meetings.
II. Some things we have lined up for the near future:
-group photo (for our own enjoyment and the rest of the campus body :) Brian Campbell (historian) will set this up for us
-hand out pamphlets advertising the NSS/HBO From Earth to the Moon
-philanthropy activities... science fair? omniplex?
-Jeremiah Powell (webmaster) is going to start putting together a
database of members/guests.
III. New officers will offically take office on Feb 1, 1998.
IV.
a) Publicity committee
-get in touch with the yearbook people to submit the group photo (yea!).
-submit flyer forms (which give us permission to post flyers on campus) and post'em (chalking?)
-other kinds of advertisement (well, all kinds!)
-these are some of the duties, more will come as the semester progresses (solitation permits, booth permits, etc.)
b) Fundraising committee
-get money!!
-T-shirts: how many to buy, what sizes, where to buy'em, where to sell'em?
-_______?
c) Philanthropy committee
-basically, we just need this committee to get info on outreach/educational things we can do.
d) Project committee
-we don't have anything for this committee yet, but we'll need it soon enough. This committee will take care of social events, membership drives, etc.
V. We'll be accepting T-shirt designs until the meeting of Thurs, Feb 5 at which time we'll vote on a design and have the fundraising committee start working on getting it printed.
