Healthy Together App | Student Steps
The University of Oklahoma Norman campus is introducing the Healthy Together app – a convenient tool for COVID-19 screening and reporting for students, faculty, and staff.
The Healthy Together app’s Passport feature replaces the university’s online COVID-19 Screening and Reporting Tool, which was first implemented in March 2020.
If a student shares they have tested positive for COVID, faculty/staff should ask the student to complete the Healthy Together app Passport (if they have not done so already).
The app quickly produces a pdf communication that can be forwarded by the student to faculty/staff to formally document the need for accommodations and request for extended absence.
Use of the app also helps update public health data and allows health services staff to provide additional instructions to the student as part of their recovery. Faculty/staff should accept the forwarded information from the student to accommodate any possible absence; however if additional support or communication is required please contact Student Affairs (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Quarantine Period Masking Protocols
Should there be a confirmed COVID-19 positive case in an instructor’s class, the instructor will notify students as soon as possible of the immediate quarantine period. During the two (2) week quarantine period, masks will be required while the class meets in person and will continue in effect until the quarantine period has been lifted by the instructor.
